Lori
Lori is our fearless leader at Clay Café, and has been in business with God since 2007. She has a degree in art from Lubbock Christian University, and loves trying new techniques. She has a servant’s heart and is always striving to make Clay Café a fun and inviting place! Her goal is to find your inner artist side, and to help you create something memorable and something you can be proud of!
Davis
Davis is our manager up at the studio! They have a degree in studio management from the Santa Fe University of Art and Design where they lived and worked for four years. They have two Dobermans named Mercury and Lincoln. Davis loves plants of all shapes and sizes and takes care of our plant babies at Clay Cafe. From organizing studio events and classes, designing beautiful pottery, to customer care, Davis keeps us running at the studio.
Emily
Emily started at Clay Cafe in the summer of 2018. She has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Art, with an emphasis in Sculpture from Texas Tech University. Emily manages our back room and kiln operations here at the studio. When she's not at Clay Cafe, she enjoys reading, sipping on coffee, collecting post cards, and hanging out with her little sisters. Emily's bright smile and ability to make anyone laugh brings a fun-loving atmosphere to our store!
Aly
Aly joined our staff in January of 2020. She is currently waiting to begin Respiratory therapy school and her goal is to work in pediatrics one day. She loves her basset hound puppy, Whiskey, and spending time with her friends drinking iced coffee. Fun fact: Aly's sister, Shayla, worked at the studio for 4 years! She loves seafood, any shade of blue, and new experiences. Here at Clay Cafe, we love Aly's vibrant personality!
Sharon
Sharon is Lori’s sister and partner in crime! She is a teacher by trade, and at heart. She loves children and she is everyone’s “Gigi”. She is very orderly and creative, and she is constantly trying new designs and types of art up at the studio. Sharon creates and paints many of our amazing sample plates in the store, come visit us to check them out!
Anabelle
Anabelle started her journey at Clay Cafe in the Summer of 2021. She is studying early childhood education at Texas Tech University and is currently studying abroad in Rome! She hopes of becoming a teacher at the elementary level once she graduates. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, art, and listening to music, audiobooks, or podcasts. Anabelle loves spending time outdoors, and when she can’t be outdoors she tends to her family of plants.
Meredith
Meredith started working at Clay Cafe in the Summer of 2022. She is a senior at Lubbock High School and plans on studying creative writing when she goes to college. She loves all things literature and spends most of her free time either reading, writing, or getting coffee with friends. We love having Meredith in the Clay Cafe Family!
Jordan B
Jordan is our social media manager joining our staff in March of 2021. She has a degree in Media Strategies and Communications from Texas Tech University. When she is not at Clay Cafe, she is working as a Senior Citizens Recreation Center Director with the City of Lubbock. She has two doggies named Scrappy, who is a Terrier mix and Beans, who is a Basset Hound.
Taylor
Taylor started at Clay Cafe in August of 2021. They are a freshman at SPC and majoring in art education. They enjoy all types of art, which makes working at Clay Cafe an ideal job for them. When they aren’t doing art, in their free time they enjoy listening to music, podcasts, and playing with their cat. We love Taylor and their amazing personality; we are so lucky to have them in the Clay Cafe Family!
Jordan S
Ashleigh
Ashleigh started at Clay Cafe in May of 2022. She is a pre-nursing major at Lubbock Christian University and hopes to be a labor and delivery nurse one day. Outside of work she loves to read, watch marvel movies, and hangout with friends! Clay Cafe has always been a special place to her as she and her grandma, Meme, would go every summer!
Jordan is our newest member at Clay Cafe and has been with us since August of 2022! She has her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio art with emphasis in ceramics. She enjoys anything and everything clay and plans on applying for internships and residencies across the country in the future. Jordan helps us plan our in-store workshops like Glass Fusing and ceramics!
